capital T

Galway bay after a sunny weekend. It always rains is what they say.

The really important kind of freedom involves attention, and awareness, and discipline, and effort, and being able truly to care about other people and to sacrifice for them, over and over, in myriad petty little unsexy ways, every day.... The only thing that's capital-T True is that you get to decide how you're going to try to see it. You get to consciously decide what has meaning and what doesn't.... The trick is keeping the truth up-front in daily consciousness.

spring music

Brad Pitt has get a grey beard, East Asia is preventing nuclear damage caused by nature and invented by human and Africa is rebelling its relentless accumulating leaders. All this best captured in Die Moldau from Mein Vaterland by Semanta, which is traditionally played every year to remind another spring in Europe.

Die Moldau (Bedřich Smetana) in "Tree of Life" (synopsis) with Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, Jessica Chastain

ignorance

Today I found out in a weird way another nice thing about Pretoria when a friend told me that she doesn't like clubbing there because there are too many gays, which made me very sad.

Legalize Gay

P.S. Unfortunately homosexuality is still illegal in most African countries

Star travellers

Pretoria, February 2011

LA Steaua

unto the star that just arose
there's such an endless way,
that many a thousand years goes
for light to reach our eye

perhaps it vanished long ago
within the distant blue
but only now her lonely glow
to our sight came through

the icon of the star that died
slowly the vault ascended
it was when to our sight denied
what we see now is ended

likewise when our life's desire,
vanished in the deep night,
the glow of love's quenched fire
pursues us in our plight.

Mihai Eminescu
1886, 1 Decembrie
